I will be working by myself so I will be doing all of the production roles.




Research

 

The client for this music video will be Atlantic records and Melanie Martinez. The song that I have chosen to make a music video for is cake.

Genre: pop/ alternative

 

The idea for my music video is to create the video in a similar style to the artist creating a storyline in a way that’s known by the artist and fan base. 

 

The resources I will need are the song, a camera to record on, a boom mic and a studio to film in.

 

Pros

I may have issues with copyright

Development of idea

Costume: burgundy dress, white socks and black skirt, white top, white socks.

Location: studio- grey backdrop.

Constraints:

The constraints are that I will be working by myself so having to film and be in the video will be a challenge, another constraint will be time because I want to be able to finish it on time. Legal and ethical consideration would be that I have to ask permission to use the studio and to use the song to avoid copyright.

Research

The audience are from the ages of 15 and above, both male and female located nationally. The audience is those who like Melanie Martinez or artists that are similar to her.
